Rupert Vansittart (born 10 February 1958[1]) played General Asquith in the Doctor Who television story Aliens of London, along with a Slitheen disguised as Asquith in London and World War Three. He also portrayed Sepulchre in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story Dead London, and Darius Horton in The House on the Edge of Chaos.

Away from Doctor Who, Vansittart has frequently worked with Rowan Atkinson, appearing alongside him in Mr. Bean and Johnny English Reborn, and also played the aristocrat Lord Ashfordly in ITV period police drama Heartbeat.
