The Glasshouse was originally a medical facility for soldiers who had suffered nervous breakdowns as a result of alien encounters.

History

The Glasshouse was later taken over by the C19 organisation, which was affiliated with UNIT. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy, The Scales of Injustice)

It was located near Evesham, as James Stevens and Francis Cleary discovered after they escaped.

After the C-Day fiasco, Dodo Chaplet was sent to the Glasshouse, having been suffering from memory losses and fainting episodes ever since her mind was taken over by WOTAN. When she was unable to give information to the then director about the First Doctor, her memory was wiped and she was left on the streets. Dodo was forced to seek shelter in a halfway house.

At one point, the Glasshouse was infiltrated by the Master, who wished to use the facility as a training camp for his own private army of assassins, who could use time rings to go back in time and assassinate key figures in history, thus perverting the timeline. At one point, the Master appointed Francis Cleary to go back to Dallas in 1963 and tamper with the assassination of John F. Kennedy. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)
