Charlotte Pollard drew a smiley face on a metal thermos and called it "Walter", keeping him as her lucky mascot whilst she was on missions for the Viyrans. When Robert Buchan expressed bemusement upon meeting Walter, Charley told him that she would not have Robert being rude about him.
To escape from Millicent Belanger III and Griffin, Charley told them that they had removed her pod's "doodlebug thingummy transmogrifier" and that it would explode. In reality, they had removed Walter and, as she ran away, Charley told them to look after him. (AUDIO: The Viyran Solution)
