In the distant past, Ma Taproot had been one of the Ancients that commanded Goomba to become guardian of the swamp as the Ancients slumbered. She encountered Lora Robinson when she was looking for her Ma and sister Hannah. Ma Taproot introduced Lora to other Ancients and eventually revealled that they had been abducting humans to learn about their starships.
