Robert Mammone was the writer of the Brief Encounters short story Roses, a prequel to the Doctor Who television story The Five Doctors. According to him, he sent it to the magazine and they accepted it, as well as giving him a free copy of DWM 214.[1]
He later wrote the Travers & Wells novella Other Wars, Other Worlds and its short story prequel, Time and Again.
