The Vantarialis was a spacecraft that had been under the command of the Captain. According to him it was "the greatest raiding crusier ever built, and [he] built it", with technology "indistinguishable from magic".
The Vantarialis was destroyed when it crashed on Zanak. There were few survivors, among them was the Captain. Although the Captain survived the crash, he was injured to the point of requiring cybernetic implants.
Many of the components were used by the Captain to rebuild Zanak, turning it into a space-jumping world that plundered minerals from other planets, destroying them in the process. (TV: The Pirate Planet)
