Chris McAuley wrote Curse of the Cyberons, a story initially printed in the charity Doctor Who Annual 1988 by Terraqueous Distributors, then given a commercial audio release by BBV Productions as part of the Cyberon series, performed by Terry Molloy.
McAuley is most famous for his part in the "StokerVerse", a franchise developed alongside Bram Stoker's descendant Dacre Stoker, designed to expand the universe of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Indeed, Curse of the Cyberons functioned as a crossover with the Dracula universe, with the Cyberons coming across a far-future version of Dracula himself, reduced to a disembodied head kept in stasis.
McAuley has also penned stories in the Whoinverse in Terraqueous' 1989 annual writing an origin story for Mags, the character that Jessica Martin played in The Greatest Show in the Galaxy.
