Red Nose Day 2013 was an event hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Dermot in front of a live audience. During the show, Dermot instructed Winkleman to wear a pair of 3D glasses to "experience the Doctor like [she'd] never experienced him before", before the real Eleventh Doctor appeared on stage, framed to Claudia as a clip from the "special 3D episode of Doctor Who", which was made for the 50th Anniversary. As Claudia believed it to simply be visual effects, she got inappropriately close to the Doctor, making him visible uncomfortable, remarking "I won't be sniffed." After being instructed to remove the 3D glasses, she remarked that it was "awkward", before walking towards the Doctor, who backed away.
