Simmons was a technician under the employment of Henry van Statten. Simmons tortured the last Dalek whilst Van Statten tried to discover what it was. After Rose Tyler brought the Dalek back to life, Simmons quoted "what ya gonna do? Sucker me to death?" and thats exactly what it does. The Dalek uses its sucker to crush Simmons's skull in a very painfull way and slowly killing him. (DW: Dalek).
