+::Okay, I've had a think about this. I would be more amenable to Scrooge's suggestion of 'uncompleted' and 'unreleased'. (It would definitely be the case that 'uncompleted' is the best-fit term for the edge case situation of ''The Dark Dimension''.) And then - yes, I would additionally hope for a 'proposed' or 'pitched'.
+::I just don't feel that it would be otherwise correct to conflate unsolicited spec. pitches like the TV ''Doctor Who and the Star Beast'' or ''Mind of the Hodiac'' for things that got formal commissions. Between those three terms: we can keep a relatively minimal number of categories with losing immediate & important distinctions... and ultimately, we can reformat the current List of Unproduced Stories into a list that makes clear distinctions on what got how far in terms of specifically those 'Uncompleted' stories.
