Brown Perpugilliam, better known as Peri was a warrior queen from the New World in a timeline where the Roman Empire never fell. She met and travelled with that universe's version of the Sixth Doctor who tried to convince her to take an empirical name, but she insisted on retaining her tribal name of "Brown Perpugilliam". She was captured by the barbarian king Yikkar and despite the Doctor's best efforts to save her, she died at Yikkar's hands and branded the Doctor with a hot poker, leaving him permanently scarred.

The Doctor later told people that she had sacrificed herself while saving the Empire from the tyrant Dominicus and that he had gotten his scar during this battle in an attempt to give Peri a more heroic fate.

She was an alternate timeline version of Peri Brown. (PROSE: Spiral Scratch)
