A Day in the Life

"A Day in the Life" was one of the Beatles' songs. The Fifth Doctor said that if one was going to replace the Beatles out of admiration for them, they would want to pretend they had written this song. He was therefore confused that the Common Men replaced them, but wrote their own songs. (AUDIO: 1963: Fanfare for the Common Men)

In a dream of newborn Paul Magrs, either A Day in the Life or Help was playing at Dr Oho's party. (PROSE: In the Sixties)

Behind the scenes

The song was used in the Doctor Who Confidential episode What Dreams May Come.
