Malcolm Tierney (25 February 1938-18 February 2014[1]) played Doland in the Doctor Who television story Terror of the Vervoids, Gantha in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story 1001 Nights, and Miaxa in My Brother's Keeper.
He was previously considered for the roles of Persuasion in Four to Doomsday (TCH 34) and Scobie, Bilton and Sheard in Time-Flight. (TCH 35)
Tierney is perhaps best remembered for his role as auction house owner Charlie Gimbert, the eponymous character's landlord and nemesis, in the comedy-drama mystery series Lovejoy (1986, 1991-94).
