Ben McGill was a young boy of the Dustville colony at the final frontier (aka Arkansas XVl Colony Base One). When the Doctor arrived at high noon and was in danger from the bandits, he defies the other settlers to warn the Doctor to hide. It is Ben that the Doctor stays with overnight before tracking the bandits into the Wastes the next day.
