Cold Blood is the ninth episode of Series Five. It is the second part of a two-part story. It marks the re-appearance of the Silurians for the first time in 26 years.

Synopsis

It is the most important day in the history of Earth: the dawn of a new age of harmony or the start of its final war.

Story notes

• It has been revealed that with the broadcast of this Series being broadcast earlier than previous serious, that this episode will broadcast before the Eurovision Song Contest. This is a first for the Series, with it usually disrupting the series in the past.

Rumours

• It is rumoured that the Silurians are stealing bodies to splice with Silurian DNA to make half-human/half-Silurians. The could be compared with the Pig Slaves. The fact that some of the Silurian-like creatures in the trailers appear to be wearing regular human clothing may support this.
