Oh, look: another Mr. Men thread. In the words of the immortal Yogi Berra, "It's like déjà vu all over again."

Basically the (novel) dab term was already implemented before I even knew of the existence of this thread. So it's a done deal that Dr. Men series will be dabbed (novel).

T:DCC has been updated to reflect Amorkuz' concerns over specifity, using pretty much what Shambala108 dug up as the rationale. In the OED, the word "novel" is not given a certain page count. All it says is "a fictitious prose narrative of book length".
