Sequence is a leading Welsh digital agency company that specialises in websites and web campaigns.[1] Sequence was founded in June 1995,[2] and by 2017, was bought out by InspireTec.[3]

They created Doctor Who web tie-in content for the BBC beginning with series two.[4] Sequence also created web content for The Sarah Jane Adventures[4] and Torchwood.[5][6]

History

Before the launch of series two of Doctor Who, they were outsourced by the BBC to create to create a series of games and websites that expanded on loose plot ends and allowed the stories to continue past the conclusion of each television story, given the success of the web tie-in content for the series prior.[4][7] Sequence worked with the BBC Doctor Who team, including James Goss,[7] Joseph Lidster and Rob Francis,[8] to work on the websites together, with Goss finding Sequence a "pleasure to work with".[7] The website Defending the Earth! was even shortlisted for a Y Design Award in September 2006.[9]

During production of Doctor In A Dash as part of the GamePlan competition, on 30 October 2007,[10] winning entrant Colin Smith[11] visited Sequence to see the development of the game.[12]
