The Dalek Empire's Temporal Cannon in the Tantalus Eye (PROSE: The Whoniverse)

The Tantalus Eye was a space-time anomaly and a gateway between universes.

It was located in the Tantalus Spiral. Moldox was located near the Eye; in its sky time winds coming from the Eye were visible. The Doctor often visited the Eye, finding it beautiful, particularly during his fourth and eighth incarnations. A dozen inhabited planets with colonies established for centuries were located near the Eye.

During the Last Great Time War, the Dalek Empire's Eternity Circle harnessed energy from the Eye to create a Demat weapon capable of wiping Gallifrey from history. The Time Lords under the leadership of Rassilon created a strategy to stop this by deploying a weapon in the Omega Arsenal called the Tear of Isha to close the Eye at the cost of ravaging all the inhabited worlds near it. This plan was stopped by the War Doctor and his one-time companion Cinder, who then used Borusa's unique characteristics to harness power from the Eye and wipe all Dalek presence away from the area.
