Maddock Way was a street that formed part of the Powell Estate, located either in Kennington or Peckham, in the London Borough of Southwark. There were many businesses located along its length. One end was right outside Bucknall House.

Location

Located in the Powell Estate, the street was a squat quadrant, (PROSE: Rose [+]Loading...["Rose (novelisation)"]) which included many businesses, such as Maddock Way Chemist, (TV: The End of Time [+]Loading...["The End of Time (TV story)"], PROSE: Rose [+]Loading...["Rose (novelisation)"]) Maddock Way Surgery, (TV: The Christmas Invasion [+]Loading...["The Christmas Invasion (TV story)"]) Maddock Cleaners, (TV: World War Three [+]Loading...["World War Three (TV story)"]) a youth club named the Brandon Youth Centre. History

This section's awfully stubby.

Some of the info from Powell Estate#History should be duplicated here.

By an account in which there were only two towers, (PROSE: Rose [+]Loading...["Rose (novelisation)"]) instead of multiple, (TV: Rose [+]Loading...["Rose (TV story)"], Aliens of London [+]Loading...["Aliens of London (TV story)"], etc.) the towers and the quadrant of shops were constructed in 1973. (PROSE: Rose [+]Loading...["Rose (novelisation)"])

While trying to siphon off of the Tenth Doctor's emotional pain, the Reach deposited him in the Powell Estate shortly before its opening. (COMIC: Revolving Doors [+]Loading...["Revolving Doors (comic story)"])

Rose Tyler first met the Doctor on Maddock Way. Though Rose did not meet the Ninth Doctor properly for another few months, on 1 January 2005, she had a brief conversation with the Tenth Doctor as part of the Doctor's "final reward", on the side of the road, past Maddock Way Chemist. The Doctor commented that she was "gonna have a great year", then returned to his TARDIS, parked on Maddock Way, to regenerate. (TV: The End of Time)

Though it's possible that a real world location doesn't exist in the same geographic space in the Doctor Who universe, such cases are few and far between. Thus, the map to the right is probably a good indicator of the DWU location of Maddock Way.
