Thunderbird One was a short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe. Framed as the front page of an in-universe periodical, the titular article instead made reference to the Thunderbirds comic story Solar Danger, which was a crossover with the DWU.

- International Rescue have modified Thunderbird 1 for space flight. Q-scale high productivity isotopes are refuelling the craft to enable it to complete the journey to Venus in time.
- International Rescue is said to be taking "its biggest gamble yet", the possible loss of both TB 1 and Thunderbird 3, as well as half the organisation's effective personnel.
