Mrs. Wormwood was the lead Bane, second only to the Bane Mother, who served as the head of the Bubble Shock! company. She was in charge of overseeing the creation of the Archtype, who later became Luke Smith. She managed to escape the destruction of the Bubble Shock! factory.(SJA:Invasion of the Bane.)
In the real world, located in the Book of Revelations in the Bible (as pointed out by Sarah Jane), at the end of the world, a star called Wormwood will fall to Earth and poison the waters.
