Hector was a character from Dicky Howett's Supermum series for IPC's Whoopee! magazine. He was not named in the crossover story he appeared in, which was printed in Howett's autobiography, Drawing Breath, but was identified by Howett in the book's earlier chapter on Supermum. His original purpose within the narrative was to make regular cameos hiding somewhere in the story with the answer revealed on the letters page.
