Kaalann was the capital city of Skaro, homeworld of the Daleks. The Doctor visited Kaalann in an alternate timeline, traveling there from a devastated London in 1963. Due to the Dalek's pollution, the area has a 30% sulphuric acid level in the atmosphere. Because of this, the never-ending rainfall over the city is highly acidic. Kaalann is infested by Varga plants. (VG: City of the Daleks)
Kaalann may be the same city as the Dalek City seen in previous stories.
Trivia
- The constant acid rain and orange colouration of the city are similar to the complex on the Space Pirate Homeworld in the video game Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
