Susan Q was a member of the Happiness Patrol that initially arrested Ace. Susan confided in Ace of the troubles she faced under the ruling of Helen A, and eventually freed Ace. After Susan Q was arrested for this crime, she was sentenced to death alongside the quickly-captured Ace. They were saved by the Seventh Doctor.
After escaping, Susan Q helped them overthrow the Happiness Patrol, using a Fun Gun to help Ace and the Doctor in their rebellion against Helen A. Once the rebellion had succeeded, she and Earl Sigma set about changing their colony for the better. (TV: The Happiness Patrol)
