The cooling cells were a part of the Eleventh Doctor's sonic screwdriver, located underneath the easy-grip handle and below the thermal insulation casing. (PROSE: The Visual Dictionary [+]Loading...{"page":"21","1":"The Visual Dictionary (2010 reference book)"}) In a guide about Time Lords, both annotated and improved by the Eleventh Doctor, he wrote in a section about gadgets that if the screwdriver was to be held it should be held by the handle, else risk burning the user's fingers.
