Wink, also titled Out of Time 3: Wink, was the third and final story in the Out of Time series, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Lisa McMullin and featured David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor.

Worldbuilding

• When the Doctors are first confronted by the Weeping Angels, the Sixth Doctor says: "Angel to the left of us, angel to the right", to which the Tenth Doctor replies: "Here I am, stuck in the middle with you", referencing the song "Stuck In the Middle With You" by Stealers Wheel.

• The Tenth Doctor is refusing to accept his fate, despite the TARDIS wanting to take him there. (TV: The End of Time)
• The Sixth Doctor suggests winking as a way of halting the Weeping Angels. Amy Pond was somewhat more successful in this method, (TV: The Time of Angels) as was the Tenth Doctor when he faced Weeping Angels in the First World War. (COMIC: The Weeping Angels of Mons)
• Upon meeting the Sixth Doctor, the Tenth Doctor exclaims "not again", in reference to him having recently fought the Daleks alongside the Fourth Doctor, and then later, the Cybermen alongside the Fifth Doctor. (AUDIO: Out of Time, The Gates of Hell)
• The Sixth Doctor is surprised and appalled that the Tenth Doctor is able to lock and unlock the TARDIS with a key fob. (TV: The End of Time) He is then later surprised when the Tenth Doctor teaches him how to open the TARDIS doors with a click of his fingers, something taught to him by River Song. • The Tenth Doctor has a sonic screwdriver while the Sixth Doctor does not. The Sixth Doctor's screwdriver was destroyed by the Terileptils while he was in his fifth incarnation, (TV: The Visitation) though he would regain the sonic screwdriver by the end of his next incarnation. (TV: Doctor Who)
• Despite having no sight, the locals have accidentally trapped numerous Weeping Angels with mirrors, due to the Angels essentially staring at themselves. The Eleventh Doctor used pretty much the same trick on Trenzalore. (TV: The Time of the Doctor) The Tenth Doctor, with the help of Sally Sparrow and Larry Nightingale, also trapped four Weeping Angels in the basement of Wester Drumlins by making all four of them surround the TARDIS. Upon dematerialisation, the Weeping Angels were all looking at each other. (TV: Blink)
• As is normal when multiple incarnations of the Doctor's meet, the Tenth Doctor employs a nickname for his counterpart. This time, he calls his earlier self "Curly", in reference to his hair. (TV: The Five Doctors, The Day of the Doctor et al)
• Upon murdering Dax, a Weeping Angel reanimates his vocal chords so that it can speak to and taunt the others. Another Weeping Angel would do similar during a meeting with the Eleventh Doctor. (TV: The Time of Angels)
• The Tenth Doctor refers to how the natives, who do not have a sense of sight, could probably hear the Sixth Doctor's coat due to it being so colourful. The Sixth Doctor's coat had been the butt of jokes numerous times. (TV: The Twin Dilemma et al)

• The Seventh Doctor would also suggest the Sixth Doctor "turn down the volume" on his trousers in a future meeting. (AUDIO: Collision Course)

• The Sixth Doctor states that his future self's TARDIS is "grubby". The Eleventh Doctor would similarly refer to it as "[the Tenth Doctor's] grunge phase" during their meeting, (TV: The Day of the Doctor) while Wilfred Mott would claim that he thought the TARDIS “would be cleaner”. • The two Doctors encounter baby Weeping Angels that resemble cherubs. Rory Williams encountered similar in a basement in New York City. (TV: The Angels Take Manhattan)
• The Fifth Doctor previously encountered the Weeping Angels. When the Tenth Doctor begins to lecture the Sixth Doctor on how to deal with Weeping Angels, the Sixth Doctor doesn't take it kindly. (AUDIO: Fallen Angels)
• The Tenth Doctor suggests that the Sixth Doctor try a blue variation of his multicoloured coat. (WC: Real Time)
• The Sixth Doctor seems to believe that his tenth incarnation has a happy future, insinuating that his does not. The Sixth Doctor's life was always overshadowed by the ever-present threat of the Valeyard, whom he met numerous times. (TV: The Ultimate Foe, AUDIO: Stage Fright et al)
  • The Sixth Doctor is unaware that the Tenth Doctor is facing his own perilous future, due to the prophecy he was given that stated "he will knock four times", resulting in his death, (TV: Planet of the Dead et al) as well as the warning that "the Gate is waiting for [him]" by the Trickster. (TV: The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith)
• Initially six baby angels are born but a seventh one appears, referring to the number of regenerations between the Sixth and Tenth Doctor including the regeneration after the Dalek extermination in the 21st century Dalek invasion. (TV: The Stolen Earth)
