Sophie was a friend of Craig Owens. She did have romatic feelings for Craig as he did for her, but they never did piece together that they both loved each other. She along with Craig took on a new lodger in their flat. This lodger turned out to be the Doctor. She found him very quirky and strange. One day when the Doctor was living at the flat, she was lured upstairs to a time machine absorbing human energy. The Doctor and Craig saved her, destroying the time machine.
