It's so brief that you have to be watching for it. So for me, the question is: what was the Doctor planning? Did he know something would happen to Amy if she refused to forget? Would the result have been something he could use to save Rory's life? Maybe if Amy didn't forget Rory, then she'd have to be erased too, and if that happened inside the Tardis then the Tardis could use that somehow? I'm totally grasping at straws but I kind of assume, whatever was happening, the Doctor knew it would happen and tried to make it happen. The scene I'm talking about is just a few minutes before the credits roll, before they move aboveground and the drill explodes. [[User:Agonaga|Agonaga]] 22:11, June 17, 2010 (UTC) | ||
:That's wasn't Amy fading away. It was a partial transition to a image of Rory (seen on the right side). I think it actually symbolizes Amy almost remembering Rory but then the TARDIS crashes and she loses concentration. I just re-watched about half of Series 5, and at the end of Cold Blood when the Doctor is trying to make Amy hang on to her memories of Rory, just for a second or two before the ship is bumped and she forgets, she starts to fade away. Agonaga 22:11, June 17, 2010 (UTC)
