Boudican revolt

Boudicca, the English queen of Norfolk, led an uprising against the Romans in 61 AD. She came so close to success that Emperor Nero almost considered withdrawing his garrisons from the British Isles, but Boudicca was ultimately defeated in the West Midlands.
