Behind the scenes
- Tina was first mentioned in the 2005 Doctor Who Magazine comic story A Groatsworth of Wit [+]Loading...["A Groatsworth of Wit (comic story)"]. While Tina was subsequently referenced on television by Jackie Tyler in The Christmas Invasion [+]Loading...["The Christmas Invasion (TV story)"], due to that episode's premiere being just over a month later, the prior mention in Groatsworth was probably a subtle and planned tease to the television episode, instead of the television series referencing the expanded media in its own right.
- The woman who Jackie talked to outside the Powell Estate in the 2006 episode Love & Monsters [+]Loading...["Love & Monsters (TV story)"] was not identified as Tina, but rather the connection was established in Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia [+]Loading...["Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia (reference book)"]. It is currently unknown if this connection was retroactive or was revealing something intended during production but ultimately never added into the final cut.
