Brittia was a mythical island in the North Sea said to be where souls of the dead travelled to.
By one account, it was where the First Doctor first landed on Earth, inadvertently bringing a spark of anti-temporal matter. The Valeyard created a structure resembling Stonehenge, taking advantage of a temporal rift around the island, to attempt to capture the spark for herself. However, after the intervention of several incarnations of the Doctor and the Division, the Valeyard was foiled by being turned into the Taaron Ka.
