- An elderly Jackson Lake may have been a mentor to the Paternoster Gang in their early years.
- If Clara Oswin Oswald had not died, she might have joined the Paternoster Gang.
- In a version of history where the Daleks did not interfere with the time travel experiments of Theodore Maxtible and Edward Waterfield, the duo might have become space-time explorers along with a version of Victoria Waterfield who was scientifically-minded. Gaining insights into technology from their time as adventurers, they might have established a steampunk version of the British Empire across time.
