Italy is a country on the Planet Earth in Europe. The Romans came from Rome and much interest was centered around Pompeii and the eruption. The Doctor started the great fire of Rome in his first incarnation. The Doctor went back to Pompeii once in his seventh incarnation with Mel and once in his tenth incarnation with Donna Noble.
