• The doctor holds the ank front of the studio light, casting a shadow over Kephri, trapping him.

• The Osirian service robot makes a reappearance.
• The story is similar to that of Pyramids of Mars, where the trapped Osirian was Sutekh
• Both the Doctor and Peri were wearing the same outfits in DW: Planet of Fire, and in Fascination
• The Osirian robot is able to retract multiple blades-like claws from its hands.
• This is the last DWM fifth Doctor story.
