The Pharmacist's were New Humans/Humans who lived in The Slums of New New York. They used to have good business Before The Motorway opened Now they are lucky if they get a customer every day. They sold Mood Drugs. For example a woman bought some "forget" after her parents were killed by the Macra on the Motorway. they tried to sell the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones this mood drug while they were there, but the Doctor told them to close down.
