Gary Russell (born 18th September 1963)[1] was the editor of the Doctor Who Magazine between 1991 and 1995. He was also the producer for Big Finish Productions until 2006 when he stepped down to begin script editing for the BBC Wales produced Doctor Who series.

Gary Russell has also authored of many Doctor Who novels.

He also had a minor role in The Airzone Solution which stared Jon Pertwee, Colin Baker, Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy, Nicola Bryant and Michael Wisher notable simply for how many ex-Doctor Who actors it had. He directed the animated story The Infinite Quest. He also notably wrote the jam-packed Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia. And in 2008 he became the head writer for a new American Doctor Who comic book series published by IDW. He contributed to the Davros Connections documentary.
