A mother was the mother of a young woman who became a victim of a Krafayis in Provence, 1890. When the Doctor, Amy Pond and Vincent van Gogh arrived, the mother felt Vincent was at hand to her daughter's death and called him a "madman" and blamed his madness for the death. She immediately told him to leave while she and other onlookers threw items at him, the Doctor and Amy, thus making them leave. Later on, on their way to a Church, Vincent, the Doctor and Amy encountered the mother again, who was walking alongside the coffin of her daughter. On top of the coffin were some sunflowers, a flower that would in the future become synonymous with Vincent van Gogh.
