The Department was a brutal, totalitarian Government that dominated Earth in the mid-21st Century turning the entire globe into one giant dystopia.
Overview
The Department was led by the mysterious LOMAXX. Some of it's villainous members included Inspector Drake, head of the security section and Inspector Thorne, Governor of Dauntless Prison while some of it's more heroic members included Inspector June Turner the head of the alien activity section, Professor Alistair Gryffen and his assistant Darius Pike.
It kept the population under control with it's robotic forces such as the CCPC who were notorious for police brutality, robot surveillance cameras, hovering orange spheres with lasers and the Department also created androids. They were willing to go to any lengths to gain the public's obedience such as publicity stunts and propaganda messages. (K9TV: Liberation/The Bounty Hunter/Sirens of Ceres)
The Department also maintained a harsh policy on aliens, capturing any that came to Earth. They were referred to as Fallen Angels and imprisoned in Dauntless Prison.
Known regulations
- Regulation 29d forbid the use of unapproved sandwiches at a picnic. (K9TV: Fear Itself (TV story))
Behind the scenes
- The Department's Purpose and attitudes towards aliens is similar to the Torchwood Institute.
