Mr. Bartle was the managing director of the Ood Sphere during the early 42nd Century.
He had been managing the Ood Sphere for a period of time before the Ood red-eye virus took control of the Ood. Bartle's personal Ood, tired of Bartle's constant rudeness, deliberately ignored his orders and killed Bartle with its translation sphere. (DW: Planet of the Ood)
