Marcus Scarman, brother to Laurence, was an English archaeologist.
He lived in the same village as Laurence, in a priory that would later be burned down and used as UNIT HQ. Marcus found the Black Pyramid in Egypt, which served as the prison of the Osirian Sutekh.
