Alison was a galaxy the Tenth Doctor named. He did this some time between the events of the Bowie Base One incident and when he travelled to the Ood Sphere. The Doctor referenced this in a list of things that he told Ood Sigma he had done. It is likely he named it after a girl named Alison that he had met at one point. (DW: The End of Time)
