Apple-grass was a type of plant found on New Earth. Though it had the appearance of standard grass known to Rose Tyler on Earth, it had a distinct apple scent. (DW: New Earth) The smell of apple grass was one reason many citizens of the undercity left for the surface on The Motorway, including Cheen.
