Beta, along with Alpha and Omega, was one of the first three Daleks made into Humanised Daleks by the Human Factor as an experiment by the Dalek Emperor. (DW: The Evil of the Daleks) Beta survived the Dalek Civil War on Skaro and joined the other humanised Daleks as they travelled to the planet Kyrol. Here they survived and bred. However they were manipulated by Kata Phobus, a telepathic parasite. They destroyed themselves to prevent it from feeding from them. (DWM: Children of the Revolution)
