In 1947, the CIA retro-engeenered the Nedenah spacecraft which was crashed near Roswell. So, in 1948, when the Nedenah come to rescue the first vessel, the CIA was able to shot them down. The Americans were able to drive the Nedenah off, so they stopped trying to save the captured Nedenah. In 1970, the CIA captured the Brigadier at Roswell with the Nedenah, and destroyed the England's cobalt reserves so as to the Waro attack at Roswell. The Americans underestimated them, and believed that they could beat the Waro, and then, the CIA would replace UNIT.

In 1959, the Americans attempted to adapt Cyber-technology on the humans and make them supersoldiers.

In 1999, the CIA allied itself to Intercom to find an alien, and they captured Turlough. Unknowingly to the CIA, Intercom was a cover of the Jex, and the Jex intended to conquer Earth and repopulate it with human-Trions hybrids, who would be their slaves. And worse, the Jex had been pursued by the Canavitchi, their former slaves who used the Sons of Nostradamus, mystical terrorists, to strike UNIT, the CIA and Intercom. The Canavitchi planned to let the Jex attack the Earth, and destroy the planet so as to the Jex fleet would be anihilated. The CIA had to help 5th, Tegan, Turlough and UNIT to arrest on the one hand the Sons of Nostradamus, and on the other hand the Jex spearhead and their human accomplices at Intercom, and to shield Earth thanks to the satellite network, and so protect it of the space battle between Jex and Canavitchi.

In 2001, the CIA attempted to save the Earth from the Kulan invasion without the UNIT involvement, and tracked down Fitz and Sa'Motta, who are suspected to be alien agents.

In 2002, the CIA attempted to take control of the Naryshkin Institute experiment, in Russia, because they believed that the Institute created a black hole to travel in time, because spy planes sent in Siberia registered temporal distorsions.
