"Electro attack" is a title based upon conjecture.

Check the behind the scenes section, the revision history and discussion page for additional comments on this article's title.

The Electro attack was the first weapon exhibited by the Cybus Cybermen. It involved an electrical discharge delivered to the victim through the Cyberman's gauntlet. The shock was enough to kill a Human instantly. This weapon was usually used (on Humans) in the neck or shoulder region to ensure death was instant. The electrical discharge was blue in colour. (DW: Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel, The Next Doctor) The Cybermen turned to ranged lasers mounted on their wrist at the time of their invasion on our world.(DW: Army of Ghosts/Doomsday) Although their wrist blasters had no effect on the Daleks, the Cybermen were able to use their electric attack to destroy a few Daleks by ripping their Dalekanium domes off. (DWBIT: #17)

It seems that The Doctor could survive it. (DW: The Pandorica Opens) This is unsurprising as he had shown a great resitance to electricity before. Although, as the attack came from a dismembered Cyberarm, it could be that it did not have sufficient power to be lethal.

Cyberslaves used by Cybermen of unknown origin were able to shoot electricity out of their hands instead of transfering by touch. (VG: Blood of the Cybermen)
