The People came together from various space-faring species which encountered each other and then built the Worldsphere. The People, culturally, can be divided between organic and not organic. The Organic People can change their species and sex quite easily. The inorganic people come in the forms of drones and ships. They are typically several times smarter than an organic People-Person. The ultimate form of punishment is social ostracising. A very popular AI, nicknamed "God" acted as custodian of the People, who had no formal government. (NA: The Also People)
History
The War with Them
The People fought a war with an insectoid species, generally known as Them. During that war fifteen planets, three planetary rings and fifteen asteroid habitats were destroyed.
Subsequently, the People with a treaty with the Time Lords with the following stipulations:
- They are forbidden from any time travel research.
- They must keep a database of the Mutter's Spiral.
- They have authority to use any (even deadly) force when dealing with the Doctor.
The Doctor, aM!xitsa and God formed half of the original negotiating team.
