The only real indicators of time placement in this story are that Fitz is still identifying as a Human and Anji is travelling with Fitz and the Doctor.  Thus, one could place this story between any of a number of books.  The following placement therefore seems reasonable, if arbitrary:
* Fitz's Story occurs after: EDA: The City of the Dead

audio stub

Fitz's Story (audio story) was a 2009 Big Finish full-cast audio short story, featuring the eighth Doctor and Fitz, his longest-serving companion in the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures novel range. As of early 2011, it was the only occasion on which the character of Fitz had been performed.

It was written by Stephen Cole, the author of five Fitz novels across the character's long development, including the penultimate Fitz adventure, To the Slaughter.

Continuity

 • The Doctor learns that he had helped defend Entusso in the past with Sam Jones. Due to his amnesia he only has partial recollection of this, saying "me and Sam have been on Entusso before... apparently". This fits in with the story arc of the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures.
 • Fitz recalls his life before the Doctor and his first meeting with him. (EDA: The Taint)
 • Anji is said to be indisposed in her bedroom on the TARDIS during the events of this story.
