William Mervyn (3rd January 1912-6th August 1976) played Sir Charles Summer in The War Machines.
He was the father of BBC Wales production designer, Michael Pickwoad. Pickwoad has claimed that "William Mervyn" was a stage name, likely making the actor's real name, "William Pickwoad". (CON: Christmas Special 2010)
