Bacon was a food prepared from pigs, originating on Earth. The Doctor destroyed a Glutonoid with a toxic mixture that was flavoured with, among other things; bacon. (DWBIT: The Glutonoid Menace) When the newly-regenerated Doctor demanded Amelia Pond "fry something" for him, she made him a plate of bacon. He began eating but spat it out in disgust, asking Amelia if she were trying to poison him. (DW: The Eleventh Hour)
