Hidden Away / Facts

  • A new design feature for the new-look Daleks is a real eyeball at the end of their stalks.
  • For much of the shoot, the Eleventh Doctor used a prop Jammy Dodger to hold back the Daleks in Victory of the Daleks
  • The new-look Daleks in Victory of the Daleks are as tall as Matt Smith so that they can see each other.
  • Scenes inside the Dalek ship (Victory of the Daleks) were filmed inside a cigar factory in Cardiff Wales on 4th September 2009.
  • There are five types of new Daleks; Supreme leader (white), Drones (red), Strategistst (blue), Scientist (orange) and the Eternal (yellow).
  • These new Daleks are 100% pure Dalek created from original Dalek DNA preserved inside the Progenitor (Victory of the Daleks).
